The Far South Coast Birdwatchers have developed three new birdwatching routes in the Bega Valley - Wallagoot Lane, Bemboka and Wyndham. Our Bird Route brochures provide a "step-by-step" guide to some of the best birdwatching routes in the shire.
Field Outings - usually held within the Bega Valley Shire, are held on the SECOND SATURDAY and FOURTH SUNDAY of each month and occasional weekdays
Evening Functions - Featuring guest speakers, slides, sightings and discussions, are held in the Uniting Church, Cnr. Lakeview Ave and Henwood St, Merimbula at 7:30 pm on the SECOND THURSDAY of February, April, June, August, October and December

Surveys on an irregular and/or seasonal basis. - Hooded Plover counts.
- Monitoring of Little Tern breeding colonies.

Membership is available to any interested person or organisation, experienced watchers or beginners. Email us here.
All members receive a bi-monthly newsletter with articles, sightings of interest, reports of previous activities and listing events for the following two months. Newsletters are available at each evening meeting or posted to those members not in attendance.

The Common Myna is invading the Bega Valley - Stop this introduced pest now! These birds are around and some have been trapped and eliminated humanely from the population in Bega. There are more!
