Children and young people choose non-violence
Women’s Resource Centre successfully received funding through the Mumbulla Foundation to produce 13 postcards by local young people.
Ten local schools participated in Art for Peace project producing a total of 92 posters in November 2006. The posters were displayed at Bega Valley Shire Library as a part of the local White Ribbon Day activities. The poster project was organized by WRC and an initiative of the Bega Valley Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Committee (BVDVSAC) to stop violence. Committee members Jude Walker, Tracey Wells, Sharon McPherson and Gabrielle Powell selected 13 posters to be re-produced as postcards.
